Bridal Packages

Congratulations on saying “Yes”! Hobart Dermal Aesthetics recommends prioritising a good skin care routine straight after your engagement. Consistency is key and maintaining a diligent skin care routine during this time will ensure your skin is looking its best for your big day.

The journey to your perfect bridal skin starts with an early skin assessment, an essential first step at Hobart Dermal Aesthetics. We recommend scheduling a consultation with our skilled Dermal Therapist, where we employ the state-of-the-art Visia Skin Analysis System. A cutting-edge facial imaging system widely used in the skincare and dermatology industry. This system provides a comprehensive analysis of your skin’s condition, delving into complexion, wrinkles, texture, pores and more. By tracking your progress, we can curate a bridal package that caters specifically to your unique skin concerns.

For optimal results, if you’re considering professional treatments, we advise a visit at least 6 months before your wedding day. For those with specific concerns like acne, pigmentation, laxity or redness, an earlier visit, ideally 6 to 12 months before, allows ample time to address your unique needs. This strategic timing not only accommodates the necessary downtime but also facilitates the implementation of a meticulous treatment plan, ensuring your skin glows as you glide down the aisle.

Pre-wedding Skincare Routine

Start off with our Basic Essential Skin Care Routine. The key is to use high quality cosmeceutical products rich in antioxidants, hyaluronic acid and vitamins A, B and C for that ultimate glow. Start your skincare routine right away with our recommended basics. This is a great way to kick off your skin care in preparation for your big day, or if you’re new to skincare and wanting to start a home skin routine. A more thorough skincare routine will be tailored to your individual concerns and skin type during the initial consultation.

Double Cleanse
  • The benefit of double cleansing is that the first cleanse will emulsify and lift any dirt, debris, oil, and makeup from the skin, the second cleanse will clean the skin at a deeper level and remove any remaining dirt, excess oil, and makeup from the skin.
  • We recommend using an oil-based cleanser for the first cleanse like our Cleansing Oil from The Skin Care Company. Regardless of whether you have oily skin or like to wear a lot of makeup, oil-based cleansers contain hydrophobic ingredients that attract and break down oil-based substances.
  • For the second cleanse we recommend using a cleanser that is more targeted to your skin type or skin concern. A water-based cleanser is always good like our Daily Cleanser from The Skin Care Company as it’s designed to eliminate water-soluble impurities without stripping the skin.
Hyaluronic Acid
  • The best results are in serum form. This powerful ingredient can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water. Suitable for all skin types as it will aid significantly in improving skin hydration, plumps fine lines and wrinkles and helps smooth skin texture. We can’t go past the Hyaluronic B5 Serum from The Skin Care Company, with the added B5 providing powerful antioxidant protection this is a great basic essential product to incorporate with your routine.
Moisturise
  • Using a Cosmeceutical Moisturiser is a crucial step in your skin care routine, providing several benefits for your skin. A good quality moisturiser can help replenish the moisture barrier of your skin, helps maintain skin elasticity, a smooth and soft appearance and softens texture. Regular application will assist in preventing dryness, flakiness, roughness and reduce irritations and itchiness.
  • Choosing a moisturiser that suits your skin type or concerns is important to maximise the benefits. Consulting with our Dermal Therapist first is always recommended.
  • Some moisturizers we can’t go past are Hydrating Crème by ZO Skin Health, Daily Power Defence by ZO Skin Health and Hydrating Moisturiser by The Skin Care Company. These are all ideal for every skin type and can be used morning and night.
SPF
  • Wearing sunscreen daily is one of the best and easiest ways to protect your skin's appearance and health at any age. Here in Tasmania, even on cloudy days the sun's rays can be especially high which can lead to sunburn, skin cancer, premature aging, discoloration, and wrinkles over time.
  • Regular use of sunscreen can help increase the protection of ultraviolet rays while decreasing the ageing process, pigmentation, redness, and sagging.
  • Just like moisturisers, selecting the right SPF to your skin type is also important. Four of the best Sunscreens we recommend would be Sunscreen + Primer Broad-Spectrum SPF 30 by ZO Skin Health also doubles as an amazing primer for the big day. Daily Defence by The Skin Care Company and SPF50+ Very High Protection Sunscreen by The Skin Care Company. All three can offer up to all day protection.
  • Moisturiser with Sunscreen by The Skin Care Company is equivalent to a SFP15+, this lightweight, non-pore clogging and oil free SPF also includes niacinamide. It is Ideal for all skin types, including oily and acne prone skins and can double up as a moisturising sunscreen.
Double Cleanse
  • Even when no makeup is applied, the evening cleanse is just as important. Double cleansing at night is crucial for achieving and maintaining optimal skin health, it plays a vital role in efficiently removing makeup, sunscreen, pollutants and impurities that have been absorbed into the skin during the day.
  • We recommend using an oil-based cleanser for the first cleanse like our Cleansing Oil from The Skin Care Company.
  • The second cleanse we recommend using a cleanser that is more targeted to your skin type or skin concern. A water-based cleanser is always ideal like our Daily Cleanser from The Skin Care Company as it’s designed to eliminate water-soluble impurities without stripping the skin.
Night Serum
  • Night serums are typically formulated with concentrated active ingredients that work to address specific skincare concerns. During the night, your skin is in repair mode and more receptive to active ingredients. Night serums are designed to be lightweight and easily absorbed, allowing the skin to benefit from their potent ingredients.
  • Many night serums contain ingredients like Vitamin A that support cellular renewal and regeneration. This can contribute to a smoother and more youthful-looking complexion over time. It’s important to consult with our Dermal Therapist on the right night serum before use to ensure which serum will be suitable and avoid any irritation or sensitivity.
  • Growth Factor Serum by ZO Skin health is packed with a punch and while it has all the benefits of any strong night serum, it will be gentler on the skin and suit a wider range of skin types. Growth factors play a crucial role in supporting cellular renewal, helping to repair damaged skin cells and promote the growth of new, healthy cells. Growth factors are known for their ability to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. Using a growth factor serum at night can boost collagen synthesis, contributing to firmer, brighter, and more youthful-looking skin over time.
  • A more potent serum is the Wrinkle and Texture Repair by ZO Skin Health. Designed to be slowly introduced into your night routine at 2 applications a week then gradually into every second night. Think of this as a mature skin rescue serum. It’s designed to address signs of ageing, fine lines, and uneven skin texture. Delivering high-potency retinol at 0.5% to improve skin-cell turnover. Combined with skin-repairing and hydrating ingredients, this serum visibly reduces the appearance of wrinkles and skin texture. An excellent choice for pre-wedding skincare preparation due to its targeted formulation and potential benefits for achieving radiant, youthful-looking skin.
Eye Cream
  • Using an eye cream as part of your wedding preparation skincare routine offers specific benefits for the delicate skin around the eyes. Applying makeup, especially concealer on dry or textured skin can lead to creasing. Well-hydrated and moisturised skin provided by an eye cream creates a smoother canvas for makeup application.
  • When choosing an eye cream consider your specific concerns, whether it's puffiness, dark circles or fine lines.
  • To help minimise the appearance of multiple signs of ageing around the eyes we highly recommend Eye Brightening Crème by ZO Skin Health. This is your one stop shop for all eye creams. A multi-function formula that instantly smooths the skin's appearance and immediately feels firmer. Active vitamin A and proteins help improve skin’s elasticity. Enzymatic vasodilators, caffeine and coenzyme all start working together to rapidly reduce the appearance of puffiness, while optical diffusers soften the appearance of dark circles.
  • Choosing a moisturiser that suits your skin type or concerns is important to maximise the benefits, so consulting with our Dermal Therapist first is always recommended. Some moisturisers we can’t go past are Hydrating Crème by ZO Skin Health, Daily Power Defence by ZO Skin Health and Hydrating Moisturiser by The Skin Care Company, all ideal for every skin type and can be used morning and night.
  • To maximise results, we recommend applying Recovery Crème by ZO Skin Health specifically at night. By switching to this moisturiser during your nighttime routine will be an ideal period for the skin to absorb and benefit from the nourishing ingredients in a richer cream like Recovery Crème. The absence of exposure to environmental stressors allows the product to work effectively on skin repair and rejuvenation.
  • Recovery Crème is formulated with a blend of advanced hydrators, providing deep and lasting moisture. This is crucial for maintaining skin hydration, especially during the night when the skin undergoes its natural repair processes.
  • Its hydrating and reparative properties make it a valuable addition to your pre-wedding skincare regimen.
Exfoliate
  • Regular exfoliation is essential for achieving a radiant complexion on your wedding day. By removing dead skin cells, it enhances skin radiance, improves texture and smoothness, stimulates collagen production, and prevents breakouts. Additionally, exfoliation contributes to an even skin tone, reduces pore size, and facilitates enhanced absorption of other skincare products. This results in a smoother makeup application, ensuring a flawless finish and preventing dullness, leaving your skin revitalised and refreshed. Exfoliating 2-3 times per week is a crucial step in preparing for your wedding day.
  • Dual Action Scrub and Exfoliating polish by ZO Skin Health contain fine particles that provide gentle yet effective exfoliation. Both are formulated to suit various skin types, making them versatile and suitable for a broad range of individuals. The exfoliating polish uses ultra-fine magnesium crystals to exfoliate while Dual Action Scrub uses round wax beads that will not scratch or irritate your skin but leave it feeling like you have had an at home microdermabrasion.
  • Enzymatic Peel by ZO skin Health provides gentle exfoliation, removing dead skin cells without harsh abrasives, making it suitable for various skin types and the most sensitive of skins. The enzymes use a process that utilises natural enzymes to break down and remove dead skin cells from the skin's surface.
  • Part-exfoliator, part-mask this helps to brighten the complexion, promoting a radiant and luminous skin tone, which is especially desirable for a wedding day glow.
Use 1–2 times per week. Leave on for 1–3 hours then rinse off.

Pre-wedding Timeline

Creating significant change in the skin can take at least 3-6 months of consistent treatment and homecare. If you have existing skin conditions that need to be cleared before the big day, this may mean starting even sooner to ensure you’ll have your dream skin when it truly matters. After any anti-ageing treatments such as skin tightening and remodelling, the body’s natural processes for collagen and elastin fibre production can take up to 3 months to visibly see results. This emphasises the importance of starting early, allowing ample time for these treatments to produce results and for you to witness the full benefits of the treatments. Here, we share our ultimate wedding skin preparation timeline with professional treatments.

  • Consultation: Schedule a session with our Dermal Therapist for an early skin assessment.
  • 12 months before your wedding is when you have time to bring in the big guns. Introducing treatments such as Exion and Emface during this period is particularly advantageous, as triggering collagen and elastin production can take up to 3 months post the initial session. This strategic timing allows for a significant visible improvement in the skin well before your big day, enabling you to shift your focus towards maintaining results and optimal home skincare. Beginning these treatments early ensures maximum effectiveness, as intensive sessions may cause temporary downtime. The extended timeline allows for complete skin recovery.
  • If you are needing to initiate or just continuing with a stronger skin program, still allow for down time to see visible results. You still have time to initiate treatments addressing your specific concerns, maximising the effects of more intensive procedures. By getting these treatments done at least 6 months in advance, you’re allowing yourself more time for downtime and touch ups. If you are trying to repair any skin concerns, we recommend starting Monthly Exion, Peels and Hydrafacial sessions combined with tailored boosters for hydration and skin improvement.
  • Maintain a consistent home skin care routine and adjust products if necessary.
  • You will want to have treatments with less down time and maintain results with monthly chemical peels, Hydrafacials, and a course of LED. Hydrafacials at this stage with a focus on treating the chest and back are recommended to ensure these areas are flawless and hydrated on the big day.
  • By now you should have seen a big improvement with your skin texture and hydration. We would be looking to conduct plumping and hydrating treatments like Hydrafacials with tailored boosters and chemical peels. These treatments will help improve texture, even out fine lines and reduce pore size.
  • Focus on plumping, hydrating, regenerating, exfoliating and smoothing treatments. Combine chemical peels with LED light therapy.
  • Combine chemical peels with LED Light therapy.
  • Maintain a consistent skin routine at home, avoiding harsh products. Reduce Chemical Peels to mild, continue with LED therapy and have a Hydrafacial with a booster.
  • Avoid treatments with significant downtime and injectables. LED and a light peel is recommended.
  • Use a combination of LED and a mild chemical peel or mask. Ensure skin is exfoliated for an even makeup application.
  • Lightly exfoliate for an even makeup application. Moisturise and hydrate well. ZO Skin Health AOX Illuminating Serum is an absolute must have not just for an everyday inbuilt filter but also for any bride who wants a glowy and dewy look. It’s a concentrated antioxidant serum that helps to provide protection against pollution and premature ageing whilst visibly brightening the skin with a subtly luminous, soft-focus finish.
