Julia grew up in Gippsland in Victoria, and completed her undergraduate degree at Monash University. Following volunteering with AusAID in the Philippines, and work in local government in Australia, Julia was awarded a Menzies scholarship to undertake her masters at Harvard University. During her time in Boston, she travelled to Swaziland with the Clinton Foundation to help deliver a country wide HIV testing and treatment program. Subsequently, Julia coordinated international community development programs in South-East Asia with Interplast Australia, and humanitarian aid programs globally with Red R Australia and Save the Children. Julia is married to Cameron, and they have two daughters Lily and Ava. Julia moved to Tasmania in 2018 and became director of Hobart Plastic Surgery in 2019.

Carmen has worked in the Health Industry for the past 26 years, she has held a variety of roles and positions in Management and leadership, both here in Hobart and Western Australia where she spent 9 years before returning home to Tasmania.
Carmen’s focus is to provide quality care and information to patients to give them the best experience and outcome on their surgical journey and recovery.
In Carmen’s spare time you will find her at the gym which she is passionate about or travelling overseas or here in Tasmania with her partner and dogs in their caravan.
Elizabeth has an impressive track record spanning over 17 years in the beauty and skincare industry. Holding a Diploma in Beauty since 2015, she has continued to expand her expertise through extensive training and certifications in cutting-edge laser and skin technologies across the globe. Her journey has come full circle, as she returns home to Hobart. Elizabeth brings a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience to the practice in Hobart. Her proficiency in the latest advancements in laser treatments, combined with her deep understanding of skincare techniques, positions her as a leading authority in the industry.
Abby completed her Bachelor of Nursing through the University of Tasmania 2018. She started her nursing career at an aged care facility south of Hobart. She then joined the surgical ward team at Hobart Private Hospital in 2019.
Abby joined the team at Hobart Plastic Surgery in May 2023. Her current roles are wound care nurse and clinical assessor. She also still works at Hobart Private Hospital as a surgical ward level 2 nurse.
In her spare time, she loves coaching figure skating and reading.
Caitlin received her Bachelor of Nursing from The University of Tasmania in 2017. She began her nursing career at Hobart Private Hospital where she still works in theatre as a Scrub/Scout and Surgical Assistant. Caitlin completed a Perioperative Nurse Surgical Assistant (PNSA) Course through La Trobe University in 2021, which qualifies her to assist Dr Keating in theatre. Caitlin can engage with patients at multiple stages of their perioperative journey, meeting them in theatre for their procedure and then attending to their follow-up wound care at Hobart Plastic Surgery.
When not working, you will find Caitlin out on the golf course, playing piano and writing music, or spending quality time with family and friends.
Qualifications:
Charlotte was educated in the United Kingdom and attended Uffculme Secondary School in the countryside of Devon. After travelling extensively, Charlotte decided to settle in Tasmania in 2012 and shortly after embarked on a journey into healthcare, working at the Blood Service for three years. Charlotte attained a Bachelor of Nursing from The University of Tasmania in 2019 and worked in the perioperative setting for the first two years of her nursing career at Hobart Private Hospital.
Charlotte has now branched out into the community sector, working with Hospital in The Home and has a keen interest in wound care.
In her spare time, Charlotte enjoys baking for her stall at Farmgate Market, Mixed Martial Arts and playing tennis.
Qualifications:
Morgan graduated from his Bachelor of Nursing from The University of Tasmania in 2022. He completed his graduate year in preoperative nursing at the Hobart private hospital and is continuing his passion for theatre at the Hobart Day Surgery.
Morgan loves engaging and supporting patients throughout their perioperative experience.
Outside of work Morgan enjoys bushwalking, playing guitar and catching up with mates for a yarn.
Qualifications:
Bec received her diploma of Nursing from Tas Tafe in 2017. She began her nursing career that same year at Hobart Private Hospital as an anaesthetic nurse, where she still works, when not in clinic.
Bec completed a certificate III in Beauty prior to nursing, working 8 years as a beautician as well as providing training and education within industry.
In her free time Bec enjoys cooking, interior design, events planning, gaming with friends and spending time with her family.
